ON POINT
Players: 2-4 RULES First, shuffle and deal the entire deck. You can look at your cards. Put all number cards in separate piles in front of you face-down (Separated by numbers, i.e any twos go in a pile, any threes in another) Keep the following cards in your hand: Joker, Ace, King, Queen, Jack <IF YOU DON'T GET ANY OF THE ABOVE MENTIONED CARDS, YOU AUTOMATICALLY LOSE> Use half of your in-hand deck to place on your piles face-up. These cards act as protection cards, the better the card, the better the protection. Use the other half of your in-hand deck to place on other player's piles face-up. If the card you have is higher than the protection card, or the pile has no protection, take the entire pile and the card you placed. Put these cards in a separate, face-up pile set to the side (This pile is called the Personal Point Pile). If you place a card that is the same as the protection card, put the entire pile and your card in a discard pile. These no longer have any use in the current round to anyone. You can not place any cards lower than the protection card. If you have no moves, place the remaining cards in your in-hand deck in the discard pile. After everyone has used all their in-hand cards, take any piles that you placed that nobody took and place them in your Personal Point Pile. Count the cards you have in your pile, and the person with the most points wins! (Each card is worth one point each) POINT OF THE GAME To get as many point cards as possible. Be the one with the most to win. ALTERNATE WAYS TO PLAY Looking to spend a longer time playing? All basic rules apply EXCEPT: When you put down an attack card higher than the protection card, put the protection card and attack card in you in-hand deck. You can re-use these cards for attack. New goal: Be the first to get to 52 points. You may need a piece of paper and a pencil for this. Each card you get in your Personal Point Pile is worth one point. Keep playing until every pile is gone. If all piles are taken in game play, and no one achieved at least a 52, set the game up again, keep each player's score written on a piece of paper, and play again. Repeat this process until at least one player has achieved a total score of 52. CARDS: USES, POWER LEVELS AND STRATEGIES #1 - Joker - Attack, Protection, Point #2 - Ace - Attack, Protection, Point #3 - King - Attack, Protection, Point #4 - Queen - Attack, Protection, Point #5 - Jack - Attack, Protection, Point 10 - Point 9 - Point 8 - Point 7 - Point 6 - Point 5 - Point 4 - Point 3 - Point 2 - Point JOKER STRATEGY Jokers are the best card in the game, therefore nothing can beat it. It is the only card that can beat an Ace, so be sure to use them wisely. If you have a pile of four, (this is ONLY recommended if it is a pile of four) place the Joker on it for protection. The most anybody can do is use a Joker to put your pile in the discard pile. Or, try using the Joker to attack. Using it to beat Aces is fine, but a more strategical way to play is to place it on a Joker protecting a pile of four (only recommended if it is a pile of four). This will put their pile in the discard pile, and nobody will get the cards. ACE STRATEGY Use these to protect piles of four. That is the best option, unless you have one pile of four, and you have a Joker. In that case, save your Aces for attack. Aces can beat Kings, Queens, and Jacks. Use the Ace in attack to beat Kings, unless you have multiple Aces. KING STRATEGY Kings should be placed on piles of three, unless you have no Aces or Jokers, in which, you should place these on piles of four. Use these to beat Queens or Jacks in battle. QUEEN STRATEGY Being the second to last card, you're probably thinking the Queen must suck. Honestly, you are partly right. Use the Queen to protect piles of two, unless you have no Aces or Jokers or even Kings. (Sucks to be you) Queens used in attack should be used to beat Jacks, or, if you have no Jacks of your own, to take unprotected piles. JACK STRATEGY Jacks are the worst card, unless you know how to use them. Now, if you get a hand full of Jacks, there's no winning for you. But if you get a couple cards higher than the Jack, you can play these well. Don't use these to protect, unless you have no choice. (REMEMBER: You HAVE to play half your in-hand deck for protection, and you HAVE to play the other half for attack) Use these to take unprotected piles. Since Jacks are the worst, they cannot beat any cards. They are used very well to take unprotected cards. 10-2 These are point cards. They are to be separated into separate piles and placed in front of you. No strategy there. FIN Hope you enjoyed it, leave your opinion on the Forums!
